The Cowboys
The Cowboys has been a short-lived Western tv series based on the 1972 movie of the identical name starring John Wayne. It aired on the American Broadcasting Company television system from February 6 to May 8, 1974. The tv show starred Jim Davis, Diana Douglas, Moses Gunn, A Martinez, Robert Carradine, and Clay O'Brien. The series was, produced by david Dortort known for The High Chaparral and Bonanza. The tv show, just like the picture, followed the exploits of seven boys that worked in 1870s New Mexico on a ranch. ABC made a decision to cut back running time, although the Cowboys began being an hour long series.
The arrangement change did not lead to raised audiences, and the show was that the victim of cancellation.
Guest celebrities comprised Cal Bellini as Wa-Cha-Ka in"The Indian Givers", Kevin Hagen as Josh Redding in"Death on a Quick Horse", also Lurene Tuttle as Grandma Jesse in"Many a Good Horse Died".
