Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is a 1987 American drama series that premiered on CBS. The romance between Vincent, a mythological, heroic man-beast, and Catherine, a clever Assistant District Attorney in New York, is the subject of creator Ron Koslow's revised version of the fairy tale, as well as a secret Utopian community of societal outcasts who live in a subterranean sanctuary. Vincent becomes Catherine's guardian after developing an empathic bond with her.
