The Olive Tree
Alma's family has been producing quality olive oil at Spain's Castellón for generations' Baix Maestrat part. Yet changing pressures from the industry have made their conventional methods effectively untenable, and also the family is currently in the poultry business. The grandfather of alma has not spoken in years. Sadness envelopes himand he no longer wants to eat. His sons -- uncle and Alma's dad -- are unhappy with him but her grandfather is understood by Alma. She understands that he sold to cover some debts and has been occupying which the household has uprooted. (A sadly common reality in Castellón today ) Unable to bear the thought that her grandfather might expire without seeing this dreadful erroneous corrected, Alma undertakes a quixotic mission to find the shrub so that her grandfather could have peace in his final days and return it to the household orchard.
