The King of Laughter
Father of Eduardo De Filippo, beloved Neapolitan actor and playwright Eduardo Scarpetta, spent his entire life in the theater and found success with classic pieces like "Miseria e nobiltà." All of his efforts, meanwhile, seem to have been in vain in 1904 when he becomes embroiled in a severe judicial dispute that would restrict his right to free speech.
