The Edelweiss Pirates

End-of-war Cologne The city is in ruins, and many are dead. This is a dark period. The youthful Edelweiss Pirates of Cologne defy the Nazis. They join the Hitler Youth and write anti-war graffiti on walls. Karl is an Edelweiss Pirate; Peter is a Hitler Youth. Their mother was slain in a bombing raid, and their older brother, Otto, was killed in action. Cilly, Otto's fiancee, is fighting to keep her children alive. Carl tries to help.
