Friendship's Death

An automated emissary is dispatched to Earth to urge people to coexist in peace. Despite being intended to attend MIT, she accidentally ends up in Amman, Jordan, during the 1970 Black September riots. After a bombing, when she is discovered walking around without identification, British journalist Sullivan helps her and offers her shelter in his hotel room. But at that point, she reveals to him that she is a robot sent from another planet as a peace messenger. Although he is unsure of whether to accept her account, he finds her unique point of view to be intriguing. Through a series of very smart and enjoyable dialogues, they explore the human condition.
