Challenged by Discrimination and a papa who was Priest of Censorship, Ingrid Jonker looked for a home, looked for love. With males like Jack Cope and André Edge she found much love, yet no home. Later, in his first speech to the South African Parliament Nelson Mandela read her rhyme "The Dead Kid of Nyanga" and also addressed her as one of the finest poets of South Africa.
