Urotsukidōji: Legend of the Overfiend
According to legend, the human race is not the only dominant species on Earth. There are two other races in this world: the Makai (a demon race) and the Juujinkai (a half-man, half-beast race). Once every three thousand years, a superior creature known as the "Choujin" (Overfiend) will appear and restore equilibrium to all three domains on Earth. Amano Jyaku, a Jujinkai in modern-day Japan, has identified the Choujin within high school dropout Tatsuo Nagumo, after 300 years of fruitless seeking. Now, however, Amano, his sister Megumi, and their sidekick Kuroko must safeguard Nagumo and his new girlfriend Akemi Ito from the Makai, who think that Nagumo is not the Choujin, but rather a terrible creature bent on destroying all life on Earth.
