The Ninth Configuration
Col. Vincent Kane can be actually a military psychologist who takes charge of a military mental hospital situated in a gated community. Among Kane's many eccentric patients is Capt. Billy Cutshaw, a distressed astronaut in the middle of an existential crisis. Even though Kane's own grasp on sanity is suspicious, he succeeds to engage Cutshaw in a collection of conversations about science and faith that deeply influence the lives of both men.
