Maria Barbizan seemed to be leading a life devoid of purpose despite working as an office drone. She has no friends, and no one really notices her at work or in her family; as a result, she is always lonely. One day, she upends her entire existence, including her handbag and her previous way of living, and enters a mysterious competition in the hopes of winning... a car. She does everything that any of us have ever fantasized about doing. She is required to complete a series of tests as part of a "competition to examine the very essence of mind-body articulation," which is led by Homunculus, a fascinating and curious host. She is locked in a room with four strangers, each of whom is more odd than the previous one.
