The workers of a factory have their pay cut by 20% once the factory owner earns a few Manchu thugs to attempt to boost manufacturing companies. Struggling to reclaim their wages, the workers hire an actor to impersonate a priest and also expert from the temple of Shaolin. The factory owner proves the celebrity a fraud, and punishes those involved. The young celebrity feels he has allowed down the workers, and promises to atone. He sets out for shao lin, made to be considered a kung-fu student at the temple.
