A troupe of traveling players get to a sea port in the south of Japan. Komajuro Arashi, the aging master of this troupe, goes to visit his old flame his son Kiyoshi and Oyoshi , even though Kiyoshi believes Komajuro is his uncle. The leading actress Sumiko is covetous and so, to be able to humiliate the master, persuades actress Kayo to seduce Kiyoshi.
