Concrete Plans
Five builders are brought together to rebuild a large ancient home high in the Welsh mountains, which is inaccessible and difficult to reach. Tensions quickly rise between the guys and their self-righteous aristocratic landlord, as well as between the disparate group of men themselves, as they are forced to live in squalid portacabins with mold. Foreman Bob and world-weary old timer Dave attempt their best to keep the peace. The evil influence of bigot Jim has an adverse effect on his nephew Steve, who is a Ukrainian laborer who comes under the influence of the duo. Because of the weather and payment delays, people's emotions get tense. Blood has been spilled. The blue-collar males are presented with a downward spiral of moral choices that becomes increasingly difficult to navigate. Jim makes an incredible pitch.
