An farm boy, karl Westover, runs out after killing a neighbor, whose family pursues him for vengeance. He meets with Barbarosa, a gunman of all near-mythical proportions, that is himself from his father-in-law Don Braulio, a rancher. Don Braulio wants Barbarosa deceased for his daughter against the will of the father. Barbarosa takes the clumsy Karl on as a partner, as them both look to survive the forces lining them up.
