Annie, an orphan in a facility managed by the cruel Miss Hannigan, believes her parents abandoned her there by accident. Annie is chosen as the orphan who would live at the home of a wealthy man named Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in order to boost his reputation. Annie longs to meet her parents even as she grows acclimated to living in Warbucks' house. As a result, Warbucks announces a hunt for them, along with a reward, attracting a slew of con artists.
