Wild City
Singapore is one of the cities growing the fastest in the world. Once a tropical jungle, it is now 665 square kilometers of noise, people, concrete, and air conditioning. But there is a wild side to the urban sprawl. There are places where pangolins, crocodiles, monkeys, otters, snakes, and hornbills live right alongside skyscrapers and boardwalks. This series, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, looks at how nature has changed in this busy city. Wild City shows the many different habitats found in and around the built-up urban sprawl. It then travels around the island's hidden wildlife hotspots, from the overlooked interior to the inaccessible coastline and islands that have become unplanned sanctuaries for Singapore's natural heritage.
