Watership Down
Watership Down is a animated television show, loosely adapted from the book of the same name by Richard Adams. It was a co-production of Alltime Entertainment of Canada of the United Kingdom and Decode Entertainment, also made by Martin Rosen.
Watership Down aired on both YTV in Canada and CITV in the UK in 1999 to 2001, for also three series and 39 episodes, though the latter failed to broadcast the show. It starred many well-known British celebrities, such as Phil Jupitus, Rik Mayall, Stephen Fry, Jane Horrocks, Dawn French, John Hurt, and Richard Briers , Amongst Others. Stephen Gately sang a new arrangement of Art Garfunkel's"Bright Eyes", that had been included from the 1978 feature film, whereas Mike Batt and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra contributed a entirely new score. Back in 2003, David Greene as well as composer Eric Robertson and Mike Batt were nominated for a Gemini Award for the Best Original Music Score for a Dramatic Series for their job on the series.
Some episodes from the adaptation were published on VHS and later. Back in October 2005, a spot 2 DVD boxset of three series was released in britain.
