Thomas & Friends

Friends & thomas is a British children's television show, which had its first broadcast on the ITV system on 4 September 1984. It is based on books by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry along with his son, Christopher Awdry's Railway Collection. These novels deal with the experiences of a group of anthropomorphised locomotives and road vehicles who survive the fictional Island of Sodor. The novels were predicated on reports Wilbert told to amuse his son, Christopher during his recovery. From Series you to four, many of the stories are based on events from Awdry experience.
