The State
The State is July 1, 1995, and a tv series, originally broadcast in the USA on MTV between December 17, 1993. The series combined scenarios and eccentric characters to sketches that won its target teenaged audience's favor. The cast contains 11 comedians who directed, acted, composed, generated and edited the series.
Several personalities were made for the series, and for a time their catchphrases entered into the vernacular. The cast would appear as themselves and deal with the viewer to promote fake contests or to deliver mock public service statements. Much The State's sketches were sometimes linked in some way: image or a punch line that ended a leadin was provided by one sketch into the following.
On July 14, 2009, the series has been released on DVD after years of legal issues related to the sound track into a number of the episodes. The 2007 2008 screenwriters strike would be in the works, but postponed A State picture featuring the original troupe members all, without a release date for your job was announced.
