The Slap

The Slap is an Australian television drama series. It was first broadcast on ABC1 from 6 October to 24 November 2011. The series is situated upon The Slap, a 2008 winning book by author Christos Tsiolkas, which investigates what happens when a man slaps on a child, who is not related to him, at a barbecue that was suburban. Filmed at Melbourne, Victoria, the show was created by Matchbox Pictures' Tony Ayres, Helen Bowden and Michael McMahon, with Penny Chapman serving as executive producer. The supervisors. Jessica Hobbs, Tony Ayres, Matthew Saville and Robert Connolly, directed two episodes every day. The writing staff included Alice Bell Emily Ballou, Brendan Cowell, Kris Mrksa along with Cate Shortland.
