The Odyssey
Emmy-and Golden Globe-nominated 1997 American fantasy–adventure television miniseries The Odyssey. From May 18 to 20, 1997, NBC broadcast the two-part miniseries directed by Andrei Konchalovsky. "Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries or a Special" later won the prize for the series. Epic poetry The Odyssey, which is attributed to Homer, forms the basis of the series. Malta and Turkey, as well as numerous other Mediterranean locations, were used for filming, along with areas of England. Armand Assante, Greta Scacchi, Irene Pappas, Isabella Rossellini, Bernadette Peters, Christopher Lee, and Vanessa L. Williams are all part of the international all-star cast of this thriller.
