The Lieutenant is a American television show, the first. It aired on NBC on Saturday evenings at the 1963--1964 television program. It was created by Arena Productions, certainly one of the most successful inhouse production organizations of the 1960s of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Situated at Camp Pendleton, the Westcoast base of the U.S. Marine Corps, '' The Lieutenant focuses on the guys of the Corps in peace time with a Cold War backdrop. The name character is also a gun platoon leader, 2nd Lieutenant William Tiberius Rice and a few of the training educators at Camp Pendleton. An hourlong drama, The Lieutenant investigates the lifestyles of both enlisted Marines and officers .
