Pets
Pets is a grownup British puppet sitcom. It ran for two series, the 2nd in 2002, and the first being broadcast in 2001 and also was aired on Channel 4. It was sold at MTV in Italy, Australia, and the Middle East.
The show was created and written by Andrew Barclay and Brian West, who had worked at the Edinburgh Festival, winning an award also on the sketch series We Know Where You Live.
A total of 26 episodes of squirrels were beamed approximately 11 minutes long. They were displayed at the early hours of the morning, and because of this, the show was not known, although it did gain a cult following. A requirement was on the state web site for kids. Finally there was a limited edition DVD offered to get via the state site. As well as both show, the DVD included two unbroadcast episodes, also a clip series termed"The Trials Of Hamish"along with a behind-the-scenes special termed"The Making Of Pets".
Episodes of grandparents are currently available as a free podcast downloadable via iTunes. In 2010, an identical series termed Mongrels aired sparking controversy between them both. Although Pets had four characters while Mongrels had five the casts of characters in those two shows are almost similar also. Mongrels' array of locations is far more diverse, while grandparents is restricted to one flat.
