Moonlighting is an American television show which aired from March 3, 1985, to May 14, 1989. The network aired a total of 66 events. Starring Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd as private detectives, the series was a blend of drama, humor, and love, and has been considered to be one of the very first influential and successful samples of comedy-drama, or"dramedy", emerging as a distinct tv celebrity.
Jazz singer Al Jarreau performed the theme song of the show and turned into a winner. The series is also credited with making Willis a celebrity, while still providing a critical success to Shepherd after having a series of projects that were . Back in 1997, the episode"The Dream Sequence Always Rings Twice" has been rated #34 on Television Guide's 100 Greatest Episodes of All Time. In 2007, the show was listed as one of Time magazine's"100 Best TV Shows of all time." The association between Maddie and David has been a part of TV Guide's list of the best television couples of all time.
