Lockie Leonard
The Lockie Leonard books served as inspiration for the creation of the Lockie Leonard television series, which debuted on the Nine Network in Australia on June 19, 2007, and is aimed towards younger audiences. The location of the series' filming in Western Australia was Albany. In 2009, production began on a second season, which premiered in 2010 in Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Goalpost Pictures Australia is responsible for the production of Lockie Leonard, while the Australian Children's Television Foundation is in charge of the show's distribution. Jebediah is the one who sings "Worlds Away," which serves as the show's theme tune. In the United Kingdom, the first episode of Lockie Leonard aired on Saturday, September 27, 2008, as a segment of the long-running children's Saturday morning program TMi, which can be seen on BBC Two from 9:00 to 10:30 in the morning. After the initial run of twelve episodes, it continued to be broadcast on the CBBC Channel. The program was recognized as the most outstanding children's program at the 2008 TV Week Logie Awards, and performer Sean Keenan was shortlisted for the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Outstanding New Talent. It was given the prize for "Best Children's Drama Series" by the American Film Institute in 2007. Additionally, the series was put forth for consideration for the Best International Children's Drama Series BAFTA Award in 2007.
