Legends of the Hidden Temple
Game program for kids called "Legends of the Hidden Temple." There is a mystery Mayan Temple guarded by enigmatic Mayan temple guards at the heart of this show. It is hosted by Kirk Fogg, while Dee Bradley Baker announces and voices a talking Olmec Head who "knows the secrets behind each of his Temple's treasures". Six teams of two children fight to collect one of the Temple's historical artifacts by doing physical stunts and answering questions about history, mythology, and geography. In the end, only one team is left standing after three rounds of elimination, and that team is given the opportunity to retrieve the artifact from the Temple and win a grand reward. In conjunction with Nickelodeon, Stone Stanley Productions produced Legends of the Hidden Temple and taped it in Orlando, Florida, at Nickelodeon Studios. This show ran from September11, 1993 to February28, 1999 on Nickelodeon in its original run, then in reruns until February28, 1999. From 1999 through2007, reruns of the show ran on Nick GAS and, on rare occasions, TeenNick. For Best Game Show Special or Series, Legends of the Hidden Temple got a CableACE award back in 1995.
