Ku'damm 56 – Rebel With a Cause

At the Berlin dance academy "Galant," worlds meet and the conflict between conservatism and emancipation is fought. Caterina Schollack, the owner of the dance school, has three children whom she instructs to assimilate into this hierarchically structured society. Two of her daughters appear to comply with their mother's request. Monika, the middle daughter, is the only one to reject the prescribed course and discover rock 'n' roll independently.
