Hogan's Heroes
Hogan's Heroes is a CBS network sitcom that aired for 168 episodes from September 17, 1965 to July 4, 1971. During WWII, the show was set in a German POW camp. Colonel Robert E. Hogan, played by Bob Crane, coordinated an international team of Allied inmates leading a Special Operations organization from the camp. Colonel Wilhelm Klink, the camp's commandant, was played by Werner Klemperer, and Hans Schultz, the bumbling sergeant-of-the-guard, was played by John Banner. During its six-season run, the sitcom was very popular. Through arbitration, creators Bernard Fein and Albert S. Ruddy acquired the sequel and other separate rights to Hogan's Heroes from Mark Cuban in2013, and a film based on the show is in the works.
