Everglades
The Everglades is a American crime-adventure television series which aired for a single season from 1961 -- 62 and in reruns in first-run syndication. Ron Hayes starred as Constable Lincoln Vail, '' a police officer of this fictional Everglades County Patrol who traveled the Florida Everglades in an airboat, an automobile that was often the attention of the system. Hayes, a northern California actor and stuntman, was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist.
Gordon Casell appeared as Chief Anderson in five of the 38 half-hour episodes, Vail's superior. Steve Brodie made three looks as Captain Andy Benson. Dan Chandler was double cast as Vail's side kick. Future film-star Burt Reynolds appeared double in the use of Lew Johnson and once as Trask.
