Words and Music
Encomium to Larry Hart (1895-1943), seen throughout the fictive eyes of his song writing partner, Richard Rodgers (1902-1979): from their very first meeting, through lean years and their break through, with their successes Broadway, London, and Hollywood. We see that the fruits of Hart and Rodgers' cooperation - elaborately staged numbers from their plays, personalities' visits to night clubs, and impromptu performances at parties. We see Larry approach to life, his desperation, his neglected love using Peggy McNeil, and Richard wooing of Dorothy Feiner.
