The Bike Thief

To the Cyclist his moped is every little thing. As a pizza delivery chauffeur it is his livelihood. As a breadline straddling, immigrant papa it is his family's anchor. It takes his wife to function. It gets his child to school. So when one night the moped is stolen, his globe breaks down. He needs to return his bike-- or replace it-- anyhow possible, before his next shifts begins. If he stops working, he will not just lose his work, he will certainly lose it all. He attempts to ask the few familiar faces for assistance in this strange, disorienting city. However, as he runs out of time as well as his options are wearing thin, his moral compass starts to split and he grows an increasing number of ready to discard his conscience in order to save himself and his family.
