Story of a Cloistered Nun

A woman pledged at birth to the son of a great family falls in love with another man, refuses to abandon him, and is consequently put to a convent by her astonished parents. Once there, she is subjected to abuse in order to acclimate her to convent life; she subsequently witnesses rampant lesbianism among the oppressed nuns and becomes pregnant by her lover. In the end, her refusal to consent to a nun's lesbian advances results in planning and deceit, as well as the death of her boyfriend out of jealously. Now that her life is shattered, she scandalizes her family even further by refusing to take her vows and leaving the convent to devote her life to others in need.
