I... For Icarus

The Kennedy assassination and the subsequent inquiry served as the inspiration for the plot of the movie. President Marc Jarry is killed just before being sworn in for a second six-year term at the start of the movie. Henri Volney, a state attorney and member of the Warren Body-style commission tasked with looking into the killing, declines to accept the commission's final recommendations. Both the initial uproar around this and Volney and his team's decision to reopen the inquiry are depicted in the movie.
