Captain Corelli's Mandolin

His fiancee falls in love with the local commander, Every time a Greek fisherman leaves to fight the Greek army during WWII. The movie is centered on a book about a Italian soldier's adventures during the Italian occupation of the Greek island of Cephalonia (Kefalonia), however, Hollywood made it in to a pure romance by removing much of the"disagreeable" stuff.
