Barefoot in the Park

In this film adaptation of a Neil Simon play, newlyweds Corie, a free spirit, and Paul Bratter, an uptight lawyer, live together on the sixth story of a Greenwich Village apartment building. Soon after their marriage, Corie attempts to locate a companion for her mother, Ethel, who is now living alone, and arranges for Ethel to live with their next-door neighbor, Victor, shortly after. During a double date, the young couple encounters inappropriate behavior, which leads to arguments and the possibility of divorce.
